The Jackrabbits fall to 3-5 overall, 0-2 in The Summit League, while the two-time defending conference champion Golden Eagles improve to 6-3 and 2-0 in league play.
Redshirt freshman Anthony Cordova led the Jackrabbits with a career-high 14 points, but no other SDSU player finished in double figures, the closest being freshman Clint Sargent, who finished the night with nine.
After taking a couple of early two-point leads on a pair of baskets by sophomore Mark Engen, the Jacks watched the Golden Eagles steadily build a 36-22 halftime lead.
The Jacks struggled to shoot 24.1 percent (7-of-29) from the floor in the first half, while ORU shot 46.4 percent (13-of-28) before the break.
That lead, along with ORU's shooting percentage, continued to grow in the second half, as the Golden Eagles shot 59.3 percent (16-of-27) in the second half, including a 75 percent effort (6-of-8) from three-point range.
The only bright spot on the night for the Jacks came in a 37-36 rebounding advantage. Engen and Sargent both finished the night with six each.
Shawn King led four Golden Eagles in double figures with a game-high 17 points, followed by Moses Ehambe with 13, Marcus Lewis with 11 and Adam Liberty and ten.
