After playing five straight games in the state of South Dakota, four at Frost Arena and one at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, the Jackrabbits return to the road for a Tuesday contest against Saint Louis in St. Louis, Mo. The Jackrabbits and Billikens tip at 7 p.m., in a game that can be seen live on Fox Sports Midwest and Fox Sports North Plus.
The Jackrabbits (4-3, 0-2 Away) went 4-1 in the five games in their home state, with the lone loss coming against FGCU at the Sanford Pentagon and all four wins coming at Frost Arena, where the Jacks won each of their last eight games, including all four this season.
SDSU rolled to an 81-61 win over former Summit League foe Kansas City in its last game on Saturday in Brookings, using a 9-0 run to start the game and runs of 6-0 and 8-0 in the first half to take a 44-25 lead into halftime.
The Kangaroos cut the lead to as few as 10 points in the second half, but the Jacks pushed the lead back to 24 points later in the half on the way to the 20-point win.
Cody Larson and Jake Bittle led the Jacks with 18 points each, with Larson adding a career-high six blocks and Bittle a game-high eight rebounds. Deondre Parks finished with 14 points in the win.
TONIGHT'S OPPONENT
SAINT LOUIS BILLIKENS (5-3, 3-1 Home): A season after winning the Atlantic 10 Conference with a 13-3 record and advancing to the third round of the NCAA Tournament, the Billikens entered the 2014-15 season picked to finish ninth in the 14-team Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll.
The Billikens, who downed Rockhurst, 80-48 in their last home game on Tuesday, Dec. 2, lost to Wichita State on the road in their last outing on Saturday by the score of 81-52.
SLU owns a 3-1 record at home, with wins over Southern Illinois, North Carolina A&T and Rockhurst, with the lone home loss coming against Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
THE SERIES vs. SAINT LOUIS
The Billikens lead the all-time series 2-1, with wins in the last two meetings, the last being a 70-42 win on Dec. 2, 1961. SDSU won the first meeting 33-18, on Jan. 11, 1930. The teams played all three games in St. Louis, Mo.
