The Jackrabbits (17-8, 8-3 Summit) rolled to a 68-53 win over the Jaguars (8-15, 4-5 Summit) in the first meeting of the season on Jan. 14, at Frost Arena behind 18 points from Reed Tellinghuisen and 15 each from Cody Larson and George Marshall.
Four SDSU players scored in double figures on Thursday at Fort Wayne, with Deondre Parks leading the way with 24, which includes a trio of 3-pointers in the final minute, and a career-high six triples in total. Jake Bittle added 18, Larson 16 and Marshall 12 points in the loss.
IPFW pushed its winning streak to four games behind a game-high 23 points from Steve Forbes. The Mastodons also got 19 points from Max Landis, 14 from Isaiah McCray and 12 from Joe Edwards in the win.
TONIGHT'S OPPONENT
IUPUI JAGUARS (8-15, 4-5 Summit): After posting just a single win in league play in each of the last two seasons, the Jaguars enter Saturday's game already with four wins against Summit League opponents, despite two straight losses and two overtime losses to teams in the top half of the league standings; at Oral Roberts on Jan. 7, and at home to North Dakota State on Jan. 22.
The Jaguars enter the game following a 63-59 loss at Western Illinois last week, and a 78-68 loss to Oral Roberts in their last outing on Thursday.
THE SERIES vs. IUPUI
The Jackrabbits lead the all-time series 11-6, with wins in each of the last 10 meetings, including a season sweep in each of the last three seasons and a win in The Summit League Championships in both 2012 and 2013. SDSU won the first meeting of the season, 68-53, in Brookings.
