BROOKINGS, S.D. - South Dakota State volleyball topped Oral Roberts 3-1 Thursday night at First Bank & Trust Arena. With two matches remaining in the regular season, the Jackrabbits are one win away from clinching at least a share of the Summit League regular season title.
The Jackrabbits celebrated Senior Night Thursday and honored
Rachel Wieber,
Sophie Johnson,
Annalee Ventling-Brown,
Alyssa Groves and
Camryn Honn in a pre-match ceremony.
Sylvie Zgonc again paced the Jacks with 20 kills and 10 digs - her 15th double-double of the season - and hit .302 for the match. Groves matched her career high with 13 kills and hit .409 in the contest.
Madison Burr registered a .714 hitting percentage with 10 kills on 14 errorless swings.

On the defensive end, Wieber paced the Jacks with a season-high 14 digs.
Rylee Martin added 12 digs, followed by
Joslyn Richardson with 10. Martin also dished 19 assists and put down two aces, bringing her ace total to 36 for the season. That mark is tied for the most by a Jackrabbit in a single season in the current scoring era. Honn gave out 29 assists, a new season high for the graduate student. Johnson checked in to serve in the final set and sparked a 6-0 Jackrabbit run with three ace serves.
SDSU took early leads in the first two sets and held the Eagles at arm's length through the majority of those games. The Jacks were tripped up in the third, but made quick work of the fourth set.Â
The Golden Eagles got 12 kills from Trinity Freeman. ORU falls to 4-23 overall and 2-12 in the Summit League.Â
NOTES
