SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — South Dakota State's Caiden Fredrick takes Kwik Star Men's Co-Field Peak Performer of the Week as announced by the Summit League Tuesday afternoon.
Fredrick saw a phenomenal performance at the USD Challenge on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore opened the competition with an outstanding discus throw of 187-00 (57.00m) to win the event and set a new South Dakota State program record. Fredrick's mark of 57.00m is currently the 37th-best mark in the nation. Later in the day, Fredrick competed in the shot put event where he secured bronze with a mark of 53-5.75 (16.30m).

Up Next: The Jackrabbits see a busy week of competition as half of the team heads to California to compete in a trio of meets, while the rest of the team heads to the University of Kansas for the Kansas Relays Thursday through Saturday.
