BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's basketball team is the 23rd-ranked team in the nation in the final AP Poll of the 2024-25 season.
This is the third time in the Division I era that SDSU has been ranked in the final AP poll. The Jackrabbits were ranked 16th to end the 2008-09 slate and ranked 25th after winning the WNIT in 2021. SDSU compiled a 30-4 overall record this season with three wins over ranked opponents, including a First Round win over Oklahoma State in the NCAA Tournament.Â
SDSU first entered the AP Top 25 this season in the March 3 version of the poll, checking in at No. 25, and appeared in each of the final four rankings of the year.
The Jackrabbits are also the No. 23 team in the final WBCA poll of the year and finished the season ranked at the top of the College Insider Women's Mid Major Top 25.
