JACKRABBITS ANNOUNCE 2025-26 SCHEDULE

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota State men's basketball program completed its non-conference slate and unveiled the full schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season on Friday. The season will be the first under the guidance of head coach Bryan Petersen.Â

The Jackrabbit men and women's teams will play an exhibition doubleheader on Wednesday, Oct. 29, inside First Bank & Trust Arena. SDSU's men's squad hosts Mayville State at 8:30 p.m.Â

SDSU had several non-conference contests previously announced. The Jacks begin the season, and officially make their debut under Petersen, on Nov. 3. State takes part in The Field of 68 Opening Day Marathon by tipping off against Merrimack at 8 p.m. in Sioux Falls at the Sanford Pentagon. Tickets are currently available on Ticketmaster.Â

The Jacks play their home opener on Thursday, Nov. 6, when they take on Dakota State.Â

SDSU hits the road for two consecutive contests. The Jackrabbits face Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls on Nov. 9, then travel to Oregon to square off against the Ducks in Eugene on Nov. 12.Â

The Cancun Challenge features a home game for the Jackrabbits. SDSU will host Georgia State in Brookings on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Cancun, Mexico, for a pair of matchups from Nov. 25-26.

The Big Sky-Summit Challenge sees the SDSU men travel to Flagstaff to battle Northern Arizona on Dec. 3. The Jackrabbits host Idaho inside First Bank & Trust Arena Dec. 6.Â

South Dakota State makes a trip to Muncie, Ind., to play at Ball State Dec. 9. The Jackrabbits host Dakota Wesleyan on Dec. 12 in Brookings.Â

SDSU heads back to the Sanford Pentagon for another non-conference game on Dec. 15. The Jacks will square off against Wyoming. Tickets for the contest are available on Ticketmaster.Â

A pair of trips round out the Jackrabbits' non-conference slate. South Dakota State heads to Milwaukee to face the Panthers on Dec. 19. As a part of the Milwaukee Hoops Showdown, the two sides compete as part of a doubleheader inside the Milwaukee Bucks' Fiserv Forum. SDSU returns to action following the Holiday Break on Dec. 29 with a trip to Tucson, Ariz., to play the Arizona Wildcats.
