4 JACKS TABBED ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Four members of the South Dakota State women's basketball team were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators organization Tuesday.

Ellie Colbeck, Emilee Fox, Maggie Hartwig and Madison Mathiowetz were recognized. This is the third career recognition for Mathiowetz and second for Colbeck.

The award recognizes student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. All four were significant contributors on SDSU's 2025-26 squad and have a cumulative grade point average above 3.5. Madison Mathiowetz advances to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-America honors, which will be announced on April 15, 2026.

Emilee Fox – sophomore, guard, exercise science major – pre-physical therapy
Maggie Hartwig – junior, forward, human biology major – pre-physician assistant
Madison Mathiowetz – senior, guard, human biology major – pre-chiropractic
