LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The South Dakota State softball program was again recognized as an NFCA Team GPA Award honoree, while several Jackrabbits were highlighted as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 academic year the organization announced this week.Â

SDSU tallied a near 3.6 GPA over the course the 2025-26 school year. The Jackrabbits ranked among the top 80 Division I softball programs in terms of GPA.Â

South Dakota State had 16 student-athletes record cumulative GPAs of 3.50 or higher to earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. They included Tayler Baker, Akayla Barnard, Ella Berlage, Alli Boyle, Mia Buske, Keira Carrillo, Emma Christensen, Kendall Daniel, Isabella Dunn, Abby Gentry, Cece Hanson, Kaylee Kardash, Delaney Madson, Quinn Marnocha, Sylvia Shromoff and Emma Vike.

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,637 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2025-26.
