WRESTLING SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED FOR 2026-27

BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State Wrestling program announced its schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season on Thursday.
The first two months of competition will be a mix of open tournaments and dual competition. The Jacks will open their season at home for the first time since 2018, hosting the Buffalo Bulls in a dual at First Bank & Trust Arena on Nov. 7th. SDSU then hosts the Warren Williamson Daktronics Invitational the day after on Nov. 8th.Â
The Jackrabbits make their return to Columbia, Mo. to take part in the Tiger Style Invite (Nov. 14), where they crowned two champions last year in Brady Roark and Cale Seaton. SDSU ends the month of November at home as they take on Northern State on Nov. 25th.
The Jackrabbits have two events in December, returning to the premier midseason wrestling tournament, the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 4th-5th), before taking part in a neutral site dual against North Carolina at the Sanford Pentagon on December 18th.Â
The Jacks will spend the entire month of January on the road, beginning with the Soldier Salute on Jan. 2nd and 3rd before heading up the road to Cedar Falls to take part in the NWCA National Duals on Jan. 8th and 9th.Â
The Jackrabbits get their first taste of life in the Pac-12 as they head out to California to take on Cal Poly (Jan. 22) and Cal State Bakersfield (Jan. 24). The Jacks end their road trip with road duals at Northern Colorado (Jan. 29th) and a non-conference dual against Wyoming (Jan. 31).
SDSU returns home for four consecutive home duals in February against Little Rock (Feb. 5), Northern Illinois (Feb. 7), Oregon State (Feb. 12) and Air Force (Feb. 14) before finishing out with the Border Bell dual against NDSU on Feb. 21.
The Jacks' postseason begins with the Pac-12 Championships on March 4th and 5th in Little Rock, Ark., hosted by Little Rock. This year's NCAA Wrestling Championships will be held in St. Louis, Mo., on March 18th, 19th and 20th.
The Jackrabbits are coming off a season where they sent six wrestlers to the NCAA Championships, the fourth consecutive season that the Jacks have sent six or more wrestlers to the big dance.
