JACKRABBIT WOMEN UNVEIL 2026-27 SCHEDULE

BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's basketball team unveiled its 2026-27 schedule Monday. The Jackrabbits are slated to play 16 regular season, non-conference opponents prior to the start of the Summit League season.
The Jacks' schedule features five NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago, including a home contest against Oklahoma State. SDSU travels to Texas and Gonzaga and will take on Kentucky and Ole Miss at multi-team events during the holiday season.
Following an exhibition contest against St. Cloud State on October 28, SDSU officially opens the season against Creighton on November 2. The Jackrabbits then host Northern Iowa on November 6 before traveling to take on Texas in Austin on November 11.
Oklahoma State visits Brookings on November 15, followed by a home contest against Wyoming on November 18. The Jackrabbits take on Kansas in a neutral-site matchup on November 22 in Kansas City, Mo.
The Jackrabbits are set to play in the Daytona Beach Classic against Rutgers (November 27) and Kentucky (November 28) before returning home to host Dakota Wesleyan on December 2. Also in December, SDSU will travel to Illinois State (December 6), host Dakota State (December 9) and play at Montana State (December 13).
SDSU travels to West Palm Beach, Florida for the West Palm Beach Classic December 19-21. The Jackrabbits will take on IU Indy December 19 and Ole Miss December 21. The Jackrabbits go back on the road to play at Gonzaga on December 30, then wrap up the non-conference slate at home against Black Hills State on January 2.
The Summit League slate begins after the New Year and features a 14-game, home-and-home schedule. Travel partners will consist of Kansas City and Oral Roberts, North Dakota and North Dakota State, Omaha and St. Thomas, along with South Dakota and South Dakota State.
SDSU opens conference play at home against Kansas City on January 7. Other notable matchups at First Bank & Trust Arena include South Dakota for the Interstate Series on January 16 and North Dakota State on February 20 for the final home game of the year.
The Summit League Basketball Championships return to Sioux Falls for the 18th-consecutive year and take place in the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The tournament is scheduled to begin on March 4 and concludes on Sunday, March 7.
