Background: Joined South Dakota State after a sophomore season spent at Winona State ... lone year with the Warriors saw Haertle earn the NSIC Newcomer of the Year award along with being tabbed to the league's all-conference first team ... played in 33 games for Winona State, and started 32, for a program that qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament during 2024-25 campaign ... led Winona State in points, assists, steals, blocks and minutes played on the year ... averaged 17.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, while he recorded 56 steals and 14 blocks ... finished fourth in the NSIC in points per game, ninth in rebounds and assists, as well as sixth in steals ... had a career-high 35 points in a game against Northern State in January, 2025 ... spent his first two seasons at the college level at Wisconsin ... following a redshirt season, Haertle appeared in 11 games for the Badgers during the 2023-24 slate ... amassed 2,264 points and over 1,000 rebounds during his prep career ... a three-time all-state basketball honoree, Haertle led Lake Country Lutheran to its first-ever WIAA state title when Lutheran won the 2022 WIAA Division 3 State Championship ... each season of his varsity prep career saw Haertle average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists per game ... earned numerous conference player of the year and all-state accolades ... a multi-sport standout ... was a Wisconsin 2021 state player of the year leading Lutheran to a 10-1 record as a senior ... won a state title in football in 2019 ... in prep career in sport passed for a total of 77 touchdowns, threw for 4,978 yards, while also scoring 16 rushing touchdowns and tallying 1,120 yards on the ground ... has deep family history of ties to Wisconsin ... a business major.
