OUTDOOR: Competed in eight meets participating all in the pole vault...earned a berth to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships after placing second in the West Prelims with a mark of 17-10.50...nabbed all-conference honors after finishing third at the Summit League Outdoor Championships with a leap of 18-00.50...set personal best and current school record in the pole vault at the USD Early Bird meet soaring to 18-04.75.
INDOOR: Broke the school pole vault record twice during his senior indoor campaign... logged his first new PR of the year after vaulting for 17-08.50 at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational... At the SDSU Last Chance, Francom cleared 18-00.50... finished third at the Summit League Championships... earned a trip to NCAA Championships and entered the competition eighth in the country... made the opening height bit missed on his next three attempts at the following progression... finished tenth overall in the nation.

2019-19:
OUTDOOR: Earned a trip back to the NCAA Div. I West Preliminary Rounds where he jumped 17-1.00 to take 14th place… took third at the Summit League Championships with a personal best mark of 17-5.5...
INDOOR: Finished second at the Summit League Championships after his mark of 16-11.00… took home wins at the SDSU Last Chance (17.0) and the SDSU Indoor Classic (16-8.75)….
2017-18:
OUTDOOR: Francom continued to leave an early mark on the South Dakota State track and field history as his outdoor freshman campaign progressed ... competed in 10 pole vault events en route to the school record - the first Jack over 17 feet ever, and being the first male to qualify for the NCAA West Prelims (only Amy Leiferman in 2015 made pole vault in the West Prelims, Tyler Schiferl made Midwest Regionals in 2009) ... ended the season at the NCAA West Prelims (5/24-26), placing 28th (16-04.75) ... came into the West Prelims meet with the 21st-best mark on the declaration sheet ... added one of two marks at the 17-feet mark - the latest one earned him all-league honors at The Summit League Championships (5/10-12), placing third (17-00.00) ... added his PR and school record mark at the Drake Relays (4/25-28), where he was third overall (17-02.75) - besting the school record by 5.50 inches ... first broke into the school’s top 10 in the third attempt of the outdoor season at the impromptu USD Invite (4/11), placing runner-up (16-00.75) for a tied 10th all-time mark ... then jumped to sixth all-time on the school’s record book with the eighth-place finish (16-02.50) at the Bryan Clay Invite (4/18-20) ... then he recorded the school record mark at Drake and the 17-foot mark at the league championships ... also have two of the school’s top six marks at the NCAA West Prelims (would have been sixth all-time) and Howard Wood (5/4-5) - finishing fourth overall (16-06.75 - tied fifth all-time) ... had the team’s best mark in the pole vault (fourth in the league, 50th in the NCAA) on the season performance list.
INDOOR: Started his Jackrabbit career as one of the best pole vaulters in SDSU history ... competed in eight events throughout the indoor season - winning four of them and being top-three in all but two of them ... finished the year with his best jump at The Summit League Championships (2/23-24), placing fourth (16-06.75) - just outside of earning all-league honors - and tied the school record with his older brother Reagan Francom (2017) and Lynn Olson (1996) ... started the season with the school’s 10th-best mark in school history at the SDSU Holiday Open (12/1-2), being third (15-07.00) and one of two Jackrabbits to crack the top 10 on opening weekend (Anthony Andera also topped 15-07.00) ... improved his mark over 16 feet and moved into fourth all-time in the following meet at the Bison Classic (1/13), winning the event (16-01.75) ... maintained having Jackrabbit top 10 marks throughout the season - not quite his PR, however - until the last meet of the year where he tied the school record ... won meets at the Bison Classic, Mark Messersmith (1/27 - 15-09.00), SDSU Classic (2/9-10 - 15-11.00), and the SDSU Last Chance (2/16 - 15-07.00) ... had the team’s best pole vault mark (fourth in the league, 84th in the NCAA) on the season’s performance list.
BEFORE SDSU: Jumped a personal-best 15-06.00 in the pole vault in the 2017 South Dakota state track and field meet ... earned all-American honorable mention in 2017 ... three-time place-winner in the pole vault ... received SDHSCA Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year in 2017 ... holds the Huron H.S. school record in pol vault ... was a four-time state wrestling place-winner, finishing runner-up twice ... a member of the National Honor Society for two years ... third-generation SDSU alum.
