Casey Haynes was promoted to Assistant Director of Ticket Operations for South Dakota State in August of 2025 after five years of volunteer work, internships, and graduate assistantships with SDSU Athletics. Â
Haynes first started at SDSU as a volunteer with SDSU athletics, working football, basketball, volleyball and baseball games before moving to an internship with SDSU Athletics Marketing and Promotions. As a marketing and promotions intern, Haynes was tasked with executing on-field promotions and fan engagement activities as well as working internally with SDSU marketing, development, and ticketing. After this, Haynes moved to the ticket office as an assistant, where he assisted in day-to-day work, including taking and making phone calls and working gameday events, making sure ticket operations run smoothly.
Haynes began his graduate assistantship with the SDSU ticketing office in August of 2024, where he supervised gameday ticketing staff to ensure smooth execution of events , managed inbound and outbound communications via phone and email for ticket sales and assisted in sales for season tickets, mini-plans, and single-game tickets, before his promotion to Assistant Director of Ticket Operations.
A native of Alexandria, S.D., Haynes will be a two-time graduate of South Dakota State with a bachelor's and master's degree in sports and recreation management.
