BISHOP, Ga. - The South Dakota State equestrian team took on UT-Martin on Saturday for the second time in a two week span, and for the second time, the Skyhawks downed the Jackrabbits, this time 11-4 at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Georgia.
Angela Gebhart scored one of two points for the SDSU Western riders in reining, earning MVP honors in the process with a scored of 72.5. Helen Lauth won the Jacks only other point in the Western events, as UT-Martin took all four points in horsemanship.
Ashley Marrin scored the Jacks lone point in equitation on the flat with a 74-point ride, while Jenna Boscardin earned the only SDSU point over fences with the same 74-point score.
The Jackrabbit equestrian team returns to action on Sunday at the Bulldog Invitational against New Mexico State at 10 a.m. ET.
