The No. 10 South Dakota State equestrian team fought a hard battle in a 12-7 loss to No. 8 Fresno State on Saturday at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.

In Equitation over Fences, the Jacks fell, 4-1.
Claire Garduno scored the lone point for SDSU with a career-high 79 for a victory over Sierra Swaffar's 64.

Melissa Kerr won the lone point for State in Equitation on the Flat with a 76-0 victory en route to garnering MOP honors.

On the Western side, SDSU won Horsemanship, 3-1.
Rylee Streit won her first point, defeating Alexis Miller, 72.5-72.
Jordan Gates topped Taylor Dixon, 68-65 and
Mariah Wright upended Katie Altenhofel, 67.5-0.

Jordan Gates dropped Shea Gilson, 69-68.5. Senior
Catelyn Hall captured her third point on the season with a 68.5-68 victory over Allison Nordvall.
