KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three South Dakota State golfers finished in the top 10 individually and the Jackrabbit women placed third in the team standings at the Kansas City Shootout, which concluded Monday at Shoal Creek Golf Club.

Freshman Teresa Toscano led the Jackrabbits by tying for sixth place among 61 golfers, finishing with a 54-hole total of 230. After carding consecutive rounds of 75 on Sunday, Toscano posted an 80 in Monday's final round.
 Hallie Getz (81-73-79) and Islamiah Fuad (80-76-77) wrapped up the tournament by tying for ninth place with totals of 233.
 Megan Mingo (81-79-77), who matched Fuad for the Jackrabbits' low round of 5-over-par 77 on Monday, tied for 17th overall with teammate Sydney Bormann (81-78-78) at 237. SDSU's five golfers were separated by three strokes in Monday's action.

In addition, Natcha Srimaneerungroj competed as an individual and tied for 39th with a three-round total of 247 (83-80-84).

Northern Illinois broke a tie with Wichita State, firing a team round of 303 Monday, to take the team title with a score of 919. Wichita State was seven shots back at 926, followed by the Jackrabbits in third out of 10 teams at 930 (317-302-311). SDSU's second-round team score of 302 was the lowest in the tournament.

Wichita State's Taryn Torgerson took home medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 224 (70-77-77) to win by three strokes over South Dakota's Brenna Lervick.

The Jackrabbits are off from competition until competing in the Summit League Women's Golf Championship April 23-25 at Arbor Links Golf Course in Nebraska City, Nebraska. SDSU placed second on the same course last season.
