Toscano Finishes in Top 15

WOODBURY, Minnesota—South Dakota State junior Teresa Toscano finished in the top 15 as the Jackrabbits women's golf team placed 15th Tuesday at the sixth annual Minnesota Invitational.

SDSU shot a 909 (298-300-311) on the par-72, 6,241-yard Prestwick Golf Club. San Jose State won the event, shooting a four-under-par 860. The Spartans' Natasha Andrea Oon was medalist, firing a nine-under-par 207.

Toscano moved up seven spots on the leader board in the final round, shooting a one-over-par 73 (74-72-73=219) to tie for 14th. She collected nine birdies for the tournament.

Junior Sydney Bormann tied for 64th (73-78-80=231). Sophomore Cassidy Laidlaw tied for 74th (73-72-89=234) and freshman Lani Potter tied for 76th (79-78-78=235). Rookie Mia Seeman placed 81st (78-82-80=240).

Playing as an individual, freshman Sydney Wirebaugh finished 82nd (78-83-80=241).
