NEWTON, Kan. – The South Dakota State women's golf team finished third in the Summit League Championship Tuesday.
The Jackrabbits shot a 299 in the final round at the par-72, 6,030-yard Sand Creek Station Golf Course to finish 70-over-par (321-314-299=934) behind Denver (904) and Oral Roberts (931). Denver's Mary Weinstein lead the 45-player field at 1-over-par (217).
Teresa Toscano finished in fourth at 15-over, shooting a 231 (74-80-77) and scattering a team-leading seven birdies along the way.
Mia Seeman placed ninth at 18-over, shooting a 234 (83-76-75). 
Cassidy Laidlaw finished the day 1-over to tie for 14th at 22-over (83-82-73=238).
Sydney Bormann (85-76-79) and 
Lani Potter (81-85-74) each tied for 18th, shooting a 240 (24-over). Potter lead the 45-player field with two eagles in the tournament.
Notes
	- The team's final score of 934 is the fourth lowest score for SDSU at the Summit League Championship since the program began in 2008.
- Tuesday's score of 299 was the team's third lowest Summit League Championship round score in program history.
- This is the second time that SDSU has had all five golfers finish inside the top-20 in the event, also achieving the feat in 2015.
- Cassidy Laidlaw's final round score of 73 ties for the fourth lowest individual round score at the event in program history.
 
Junior 
Teresa Toscano was named to the Summit League All-Tournament team following the event for finishing in the top-5.
