ST. GEORGE, Utah -- The South Dakota State women's golf team's time in Utah has been cut short as the final round of the Lady Thunderbird Invitational has been canceled. Host team, Southern Utah, suspended all athletic events indefinitely due to concerns surrounding COVID-19 exposure.
The Jackrabbits sat in second place after the initial round with 297 (+9), while
Teresa Toscano and
Mia Seeman were tied for fourth at even-par 72.
The announcement comes in addition to The Summit League's suspension of regular season competitions for all league members on their campuses through March 30, and the NCAA's cancellation of all winter and spring championships.
