BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota State returns to Frost Arena for a three-game home stand when the Jackrabbits host North Dakota at 7 p.m. on Thursday. SDSU will face North Dakota State at 2 p.m. Saturday, then has a full week off before hosting South Dakota as part of the SD Showdown Series on Saturday, Feb. 11.Â

SDSU opens its home stand following a tough three-game road trip. The Jackrabbits dropped a 60-54 contest to St. Thomas on Jan. 26 and an 81-73 overtime decision to Western Illinois on Jan. 28, but pulled out a 67-66 victory over Kansas City on Jan. 30.Â

The Jacks currently sit in a tie for second in The Summit League standings at 7-4 with Western Illinois. NDSU is a half game back of the two at 6-4, while Oral Roberts is alone in first at 11-0.

South Dakota State heads into February with one of the top active win streaks in the month among Division I men's basketball programs. The Jackrabbits have won nine straight games in February with their last loss coming to NDSU in Fargo on Feb. 20, 2021. Ahead of SDSU with active streaks are Texas State (20), Colgate (14), Winthrop (14) and Buffalo (12).

Zeke Mayo is averaging 20.6 points in 11 conference games. He's also dishing out four assists per conference outing.
Matt Dentlinger is averaging 13.1 points in 11 Summit matchups. He's also pacing SDSU on the boards with 6.3 rebounds per contest.Â

North Dakota is on a three-game skid as it visits Brookings. Matt Norman leads the Fighting Hawks averaging 12.7 points in 10 conference games. SDSU won the first contest between the two sides this season, 60-59, on Jan. 7.

North Dakota State defeated SDSU, 65-59, in the two sides' matchup on Jan. 5 in Fargo. The Bison were led by Andrew Morgan's 24 points. Grant Nelson is averaging 19.8 points and 8.4 rebounds in conference play for NDSU.
