South Dakota State riders claimed three Most Outstanding Performer awards, but in the end UT Martin came away with an 11-9 victory over the Jackrabbits in a women's equestrian head-to-head competition that wrapped up Wednesday at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.

Competition began Tuesday with three events and ended with UT Martin holding an 8-7 lead heading into fences. Samantha Hunsecker pulled the Jackrabbits even with an 81-point ride in her matchup against Grace York, but UT Martin won three of the final four individual matchups to come out on top on the team scoreboard.

The Jackrabbits' other victory in fences was by MOP Julia Werkhoven, who scored an 83 on Jameson.

UT Martin built an early 7-3 lead on Tuesday by winning three matchups in horsemanship and four of the five points in flat. Rachel Darby picked up the lone point for SDSU in flat, but earned MOP honors in the process by downing Haley Kane, 85-79, in their matchup on Deli.
 Callyn Fox (74.5) and Shelby Cochran (68) were victorious for the Jackrabbits in horsemanship, while SDSU notched four of the five points in reining. Lydia Loken was named MOP in reining for the Jackrabbits after a score of 72.5 on Corona. Cassandra Townsend (64), Adisyn Kuxhaus (67.5) and Isabelle Riggs (73) were the other winners for SDSU.

The Jackrabbits turn their attention to postseason competition and will host the ECAC Championship March 23-25.
