South Dakota State makes the trek to Vermillion on Saturday to take on South Dakota in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Tipoff in the Interstate Series matchup between the Jackrabbits and Yotes is slated for 1 p.m.

The Jackrabbits are coming off a 90-87 victory over Omaha on Thursday in Frost Arena. SDSU had five double-digit scorers and as a team shot over 50% for the sixth straight game in the win. The Jacks held a double-digit lead with over five minutes remaining, but had to hold off a rally by the Mavericks. SDSU was boosted late by
Charlie Easley who scored the team's last nine points and finished with 17.

SDSU improved to 10-9 overall with the win against the Mavs. The Jacks also boosted their Summit League record to 3-1, tied for the top mark in the conference with Denver.

Zeke Mayo produced his ninth 20-plus scoring effort of the season Thursday as he continues to lead SDSU in scoring at 18.4 points. He's also maintained his team leading rebounding (6.1) and assists (3.4) averages.
William Kyle III, who's scored double digits in six straight contests, is averaging 13.3 points. Joining them in double figures are Easley (10.8) and
Luke Appel (10.8).

South Dakota, which is 9-10 overall, improved to 2-2 in conference play with a 74-73 overtime victory over St. Thomas in Vermillion Thursday. Jevon Hill hit a jumper for USD with five seconds left in regular to force overtime, then USD scored the last five points of overtime to escape with a win. Kaleb Stewart scores at a team-high 14.1 per game clip and Lahat Thioune averages a double-double of 13.6 points and 10.2 rebounds.

The Jacks bring a six-game winning streak over the Coyotes into Saturday's contest. The stretch for SDSU is its longest in the series since the early 2000s. A season ago, SDSU earned an 82-64 victory at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center over USD, the Jackrabbits' largest margin of victory in Vermillion since 1974.Â

The Jackrabbits have won 20 of the last 26 matchups against the Yotes. South Dakota has had better success against South Dakota State in Vermillion. The Coyotes are 6-5 versus the Jacks on their home floor during both teams' DI eras.
