NEW YORK — Offensive lineman Quinten Christensen earned first-team accolades and three other South Dakota State players received honorable mention recognition on The Associated Press FCS All-America Team announced Tuesday.
A junior from Wessington Springs, Christensen started all 14 games at left tackle and helped pave the way for the Jackrabbits to average 28.6 points and 379.7 yards of total offense per game.
Earlier this week, Christensen was a third-team selection to the 2025 FCS Football Central All-American Team
Also representing the Jackrabbit offense on the AP honor squad was honorable mention selection Greyton Gannon at tight end. A junior from Eagle, Wisconsin, Gannon tied for third on the team with 33 receptions while totaling 372 receiving yards (11.3 ypr) and three touchdowns.
Defensively, lineman Kobe Clayborne was an honorable mention pick after registering 41 total tackles, including eight tackles for loss and four sacks. A senior from Sioux City, Iowa, Clayborne lined up at both the defensive tackle and defensive end positions for the Jackrabbits, adding a forced fumble.
Rounding out SDSU's honorable mention selections was punter Max Pelham. A senior from Ankeny, Iowa, Pelham averaged a Missouri Valley Football Conference-best 47.2 yards per punt during the 2025 season. Of his 42 punts, 18 traveled 50 or more yards and 14 of his attempts landed inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
South Dakota State finished the 2025 season with a 9-5 overall record and qualified for the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs for the 14th consecutive season.
