10-seed South Dakota State heads to Storrs, Conn. to take on 7-seed Oklahoma State in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. This meeting between the No. 17 Cowgirls and No. 24 Jackrabbits (AP Poll) is the only ranked matchup in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
Saturday will be the second all-time meeting between these teams. The Jacks won the only previous meeting 89-61 in Stillwater in SDSU's first season as a Division I team. These teams have one mutual opponent on their schedules this season - Oral Roberts. The Cowgirls beat the Golden Eagles 89-68 in early November while the Jackrabbits went 3-0 against ORU through the conference season.
Oklahoma State is 25-6 on the season and went 14-4 in the Big 12. The Cowgirls - ranked 17th in the latest AP Poll - fell in the semifinal round of the Big 12 Tournament but before that won five straight games.
