SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State senior Shakira-Ann Kuys claimed the latest Kwik Star Peak Golfer of the Week accolade from the Summit League.
Kuys finished runner-up out of 112 golfers participating in the weather-shortened Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona. The Jackrabbit senior made four birdies during her only loop around the Oakcreek Country Club to post a 70 (-2).
The Port Augusta, South Australia native helped lead SDSU to a tie for third in the team standings with her second round under par this season.
