HOLLISTER, Mo. - South Dakota State women's golf is set to play in the Ozarks National Invitationals Monday through Wednesday of this week at Ozarks National Golf Course.Â
Shakira-Ann Kuys, the reigning Summit League Peak Golfer of the week, will lead the squad this week as the No. 1 golfer. Molly O'Hara, McKenzie Mages, Piper Stubbs and Reese Jansa round out the team while Tatum Depuydt will play as an individual.Â
Kuys posted a 70 (-2) during the only round of the Red Rocks Invitational last week to finish in runner-up position. The Jackrabbits tied for this place as a team.
LAST TIME OUT
The South Dakota State women's golf team tied for third place at the Red Rocks Invitational last week. The tournament was shortened to just 18 holes due to snowfall and course conditions at Oakcreek Country Club.Â
SDSU tied with Summit League foe North Dakota State with a 291 (+3) team tally for the round. The Jackrabbits finished only behind Grand Canyon and host Northern Arizona. Senior Shakira-Ann Kuys finished in runner-up position, tied with three other golfers. She posted a 2-under over 18 holes, only one shot behind Northern Arizona's medalist, Ellena Slater. Molly O'Hara tied for 19th place with a 73 (+1) scorecard. McKenzie Mages and Piper Stubbs tied for 31st place (74, +2) and Reese Jansa rounded out the lineup in a tie for 42nd (75, +3).
