SDSU FINISHES TOP 30 IN GPA FOR 5TH YEAR IN A ROW

MANHEIM, Pa. - The South Dakota State wrestling team finished in the top 30 of team GPA for the fifth year in a row in 2024-25.

The Jackrabbits come in at 28th in this year's team GPA rankings with a collective GPA of 3.397 and were one of six Big 12 schools honored. Cal Baptist led the way with a GPA of 3.7005, followed by Cleveland State and Arkansas-Little Rock with GPAs of 3.655 and 3.619, respectively.

SDSU previously finished 4th in team GPA a season ago with a team GPA of 3.5416.

The team GPA has historically been calculated among the eligible student-athletes who competed at their conference qualifying tournament and two other wrestlers who competed during the 2024-25 season.

Last week, nine Jackrabbit wrestlers were honored individually as NWCA Scholar All-Americans, tied for third-most in the country alongside the University of Pennsylvania. On the mat, the Jackrabbits brought home a program record nine NCAA Qualifiers and one All-American in 174-pounder Cade DeVos.
