IOWA CITY, Iowa - Four members of the South Dakota State men's golf team posted an eagle during the first day of action at the Hawkeye Invite.
The Jackrabbits played two rounds at Finkbine Golf Course Sunday, which featured eagles from
Ty Kretz,
Drew Teeter,
Bryson Mercier and
Tyler Seeling.
Teeter is the top Jackrabbit through 36 holes. The sophomore is tied for 11th place with a -3 scorecard. His 70 on the second lap of the day is his best single round as a Jackrabbit.
Seeling is tied for 29th place. He opened the day with a 71 on round one, then a 74 on round two and is 1-over overall.
Bryson Mercier is just one shot behind Seeling in a tie for 32nd place.
Ty Kretz is tied for 41st place (+4) and
Jake Olson is in 67th place (+11).
Blake Schaper, a late addition to the field as an individual, went 78-78 on the day and is tied for 68th place.
The Jacks are in sixth place with a +4 team tally. Kansas leads the field a -26, followed by Little Rock at -18.
