Brookings Country Club, home of the South Dakota State men’s and women’s golf programs, has long been recognized as one of the region’s best courses.
The 18-hole, par-72, 4,800- and 6,800-yard course was designed by Earl Bartling and Ward Waltz. It is characterized by bluegrass greens, which are lush and serene, fairways that are challenging yet uncrowded and a rolling terrain.
The Brookings Country Club sits on 167 acres 8 miles southwest of the SDSU campus. It has hosted numerous collegiate events and annually hosts U.S. amateur qualifying events.
