MARICOPA, Ariz. - The South Dakota State women's golf team sits in ninth place after the first two rounds of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic Wednesday at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
Senior
Piper Stubbs is only one shot off the top of the leaderboard with 18 holes remaining. Stubbs posted a 146 (+2) two-round tally, including an even-par 72 on lap two.
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn (Iowa State), Mayumi Umezu (UNLV) and Anci Dy (Grand Canyon) are tied at the top of the individual standings at +1.
McKenzie Mages is +9 overall (t-2th place) to follow Stubbs and
Molly O'Hara is +12 (40th place).
Shakira-Ann Kuys (+26, t-75th) and
Reese Jansa (+27, 78th) are also competing for the Jackrabbits.
SDSU's team tally is +42, 30 shots behind the leaders. The Jacks are in ninth out of 15 teams.
The final 18 holes of the Jackrabbits' regular season will tee off Thursday at 7:30 a.m.
