MANHATTAN, Kan. - The South Dakota State men's golf team sits in second place following the first day of the Wildcat Invitational at Colbert Hills Golf Course.
The Jackrabbits are +6 as a team through nearly two full rounds of action. The start of the day was delayed due to weather, but the teams were able to complete the majority of the originally-planned 36 holes.
SDSU posted a +8 team score on the first round and is 2-under through 13-15 holes of round two. Kansas State is 2-under as a team, eight shots ahead of SDSU and Creighton (+6).
Drew Teeter carded a 73 (+1) on the first lap of the day and is -2 on the second round with four holes remaining. He recorded an eagle on hole 13 during round two. Teeter sits in eighth place at 1-under overall and is only one shot off the top of the leaderboard.
Bryson Mercier is +2 overall and is tied for 15th place.
Tyler Seeling is one shot back and tied for 20th place, followed by
Ty Adkins in 24th place (+4) and
Jake Olson in 32rd (+5).
NOTES
SDSU has 33 birdies as a group, which leads all teams.
