TULSA, Okla. – South Dakota State used a dominant second half and red-hot 3-point shooting to pull away from Oral Roberts on Saturday and earn an 87–69 Summit League road victory at the Mabee Center.
After taking a 36–29 lead into halftime, the Jackrabbits (12-15, 5-7 Summit League) erupted for 51 second-half points, shooting a blistering 60.7% from the field and 63.6% from beyond the arc over the final 20 minutes. SDSU finished the night 12-for-23 from deep and 31-for-60 overall, controlling the game on both ends once the offense found its rhythm.
South Dakota State finished with five double-digit scorers.
Kalen Garry led the Jackrabbits with 18 points.
Jaden Jackson added 15 points, including a key burst early in the second half that helped turn a close game into a double-digit margin. The Jackrabbits used a 13-2 run midway through the second half to jump ahead 62-52. SDSU's advantage grew as large as 21 with under five minutes left.
The Jackrabbits' centers in
Damon Wilkinson and
Alec Squires scored 15 and 13 points, respectively. Squires finished one point off from his career high.
Joe Sayler recorded 13 points while pacing SDSU in rebounds (7) and assists (5).
SDSU's defensive pressure and interior presence proved decisive. The Jackrabbits outscored ORU 36–24 in the paint and turned 14 Oral Roberts turnovers into 19 points.
Oral Roberts (6-21, 1-11 Summit League) was led by Ty Harper's 25 points, including four three-pointers. Two other Golden Eagles scored 12 points apiece and Ofri Naveh grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds, but the Golden Eagles struggled to match SDSU's shooting pace, finishing at 39.7% from the field and 10-for-30 from deep.

- South Dakota State picked up its first road win of the Summit League slate. The Jacks are now 1-5 on the road in conference play.
- The Jackrabbits got a valuable boost off the bench from Luke Haertle. He played a season-high 30 minutes and scored six points.
- SDSU's advantage grew as large as 21 with under five minutes left.
- The Jackrabbits extended their win streak over the Golden Eagles to six games. SDSU also ended an active losing skid at three.
