PHOENIX, Ariz. - The South Dakota State men's golf team slipped two spots to 10th place during the second round of the Loyola Intercollegiate Monday at Palm Valley Club.
The Jackrabbits posted a -3 team tally for the second round, two shots better than Sunday's -1 team score, but fell two spots on the leaderboard. SDSU is three shots off South Dakota in eighth place and 11 shots out of the top five.
Bryson Mercier had the best round of the day for the Jackrabbits, a 70 (-2). He is up three spots into a tie for 21st place with one round left to play.
Tyler Seeling and Drew Teeter are tied for 45th place with matching even-par scorecards for the week. Seeling was -1 for Monday's lap and Teeter was +1.
Jacob Wilson matched Seeling's -1 score for round two. The freshman is tied for 59th place overall. Ty Adkins went 2-over Monday and is tied for 65th place at +2 over 36 holes.
Grand Canyon's Campbell Kerr and Carson Baez are tied at the top of the individual leaderboard with -11 scorecards. Host Loyola and Richmond lead the team standings at -20.
