McKenzie Mages captured the individual title at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday. The Jackrabbits finished seventh in a competetive field.Â
Mages secured her second win of the season and fourth of her career, and is now second in program history for career individual victories. She finished the tournament 4-under (212) through 54 holes and tallied 11 birdies. Her 212 final scorecard matches her collegiate best and the best three-round score in program history.
Hannah Boraas posted a +14 tally to finish tied for 42nd place.
Riko Danjo and
Molly O'Hara finished in a tie for 51st with matching +17 three-round scorecards.
Reese Jansa placed in a tie for 65th (+22).
Hannah Pettitt, competing individually, finished 74th (+27).Â
The Jackrabbits tallied a +37 final team score, two shots behind Delaware, which finished sixth. Virginia Tech went +4 over three rounds to win the team title by seven shots over UNC Greensboro.Â
NOTES
- This is the 14th top-10 finish of McKenzie Mage's career, moving her into a tie for fifth place all-time at SDSU.
- Mages tied for second on par-4 holes. She averaged 3.90 strokes per par-4.
- SDSU tied for fifth as a team on pars, tallying 164.Â
