No. 11 South Dakota State will open the 2026 NCAA Tournament against No. 6 Washington Friday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas. This is the first all-time meeting between these teams.
SDSU is 27-6 overall this season and has won 10 straight games dating back to February 1.
Washington is 21-10 on the year and went 10-8 in the Big Ten, finishing eighth in the regular season. The Huskies are 4-6 over their last 10 contests. UW has faced 15 of the 68 NCAA Tournament teams already this season, with victories over nine of those opponents.
