BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's golf team is headed to the NCAA Championship as the No. 11 seed in the Stanford Regional, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Jackrabbits won the Summit League Championship for the first time in program history Tuesday afternoon and will play in the team's first NCAA Regional May 11-13 at Stanford Golf Course.
South Dakota State is one of 12 teams selected to the Stanford Regional. In total, six sites will host 12 teams and six individuals each. The regional tournament features 54 holes played over three days with the top five teams and one individual from non-qualifying teams advancing to the NCAA Women's Golf Championships.
