MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Jackrabbits women's golf team is tied for eighth after two rounds at the Powercat Classic hosted by Kansas State.
The Jackrabbits end the day with a team score of 606 (+30), tied with Creighton for eighth overall. Hosts Kansas State lead the field after day one, with a team score of 580 (+4). The Jacks remain competitive as they sit only 11 shots off third-place Tarleton State.
Olivia Braun leads the way for the Jacks, so far, shooting 148 (+4) through two rounds. The freshman caught fire in her first round, racking up four birdies and shooting even-par, before faltering a bit in her second round, shooting a respectable four-over and finishing the day tied for 12th.
Hannah Boraas is just three strokes behind her, as she sits tied for 24th in the field. She had round scores of +3 and +4, respectively, while racking up four birdies on the day.
Molly O'Hara is just one stroke off Boraas, following a score of +2 in the first round and +6 in the second round. She tallied four birdies on the day, including three in her second round.
Riko Danjo and Rylan Horning are tied for 43rd and 48th, respectively. Danjo shot +11 for the day, shooting five-over in her first round and six-over in her second. Horning likewise shot six-over in her first round and seven-over in her second.
Hannah Pettitt, competing as an individual, is tied for 51st in the tournament. She shot +10 in her first round but responded nicely in her second round, shooting four-over to end the day +14.
