INDOOR: Opened the season with a 3000m PR of 8:16.47 to finish runner-up at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Meet (1/25)... Won the mile race with a personal record time of 4:10.77 at the SDSU Open (2/1)... Clutched bronze in the 3000m with a time of 8:17.19 at the ISU Classic (2/8)... Finished in the top-3 in the 5000m with a time of 14:15.25 at the SDSU Indoor Classic (2/14)... Placed in the top-10 in the 3000m with a time of 8:23.27 and took third in the 5000m with a time of 14:11.34 at the Summit League Indoor Championships (3/1).Â
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in seven meets... Finished ninth at the Roy Griak Invitational with an 8K time of 25:16.1 (9/20)... Won the SDSU Classic with a time of 24:11.3 (10/4)... Crossed the line under 24 minutes at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals meet to finish in the top-five with an 8K time of 23:56.5 (10/19)... Finished runner-up at the Summit League Championships with a time of 23:51.5 (11/2)... Placed in the top-10 with a 10K personal record of 29:25.8 at the NCAA Midwest Regional to qualify for the NCAA Championships (11/15)... 2023-24:
OUTDOOR:Â He finished 2nd in both the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters at the Summit League Championships to earn all-league honors in both events. His times of of 14:15.41 and 29:59.51 were under the meet record. Set a season best in the 5,000 meters at the Gary Wilson Invite running 14:00.42, which is the best ever for an SDSU freshman. He opened the outdoor season running the 10,000 meters in 29:29.84 at the Washington University Distance carnival, which the best ever for an SDSU freshman.
INDOOR:Â Earned all-league honors with a 2nd place finish in the 5,000 meters in a season best time of 14:16.83. He also finished 6th in the 3,000 meters. He ran a season best 3,000 meters at the Iowa State Classic in a time of 8:17.04.
CROSS COUNTRY: Named Summit League Athlete of the Year after becoming the first true freshman to win an individual league championship.    His first place finish at the league meet in Brookings in a time of 24:17.2, set a Edgebrook Course record and helped the Jacks win their 8th straight league crown.   He was also named meet MVP for his performance.   Finished 15th at the NCAA Midwest Regional in his first 10k race running 30:50.0 narrowly missing an NCAA qualifying berth.    Debuted with a win at the Augie Twilight running 18:56.0.  Won the SDSU Classic 8k with a time of 24:28.4, which bettered the course record.  Finished 15th at the Griak Invitational with a time of 24:38.7 and 5th at the Arturo Barrios Invite with a time of 23:15.7.   Named Athlete of the Week five times during the season-best ever for a first year Summit League cross country athlete.Â
BEFORE SDSU: Four-time Nebraska state cross country champion…three-time state track and field champion in the two mile…two-time champion of the mile and 4x800…fastest two mile time of 9:07, fastest mile time is 4:17 and fastest 5k is 14:51
