After competing with the South Dakota State equestrian team for four years, Marielle Golden returned to the program as the Hunter Seat coach in August 2019.
Â
Golden graduated from SDSU in 2016, and has since worked in her home state of Florida as a trainer and manager at equestrian centers where she manages day-to-day operations and oversees lesson programs.
Â
As a Jackrabbit student-athlete from 2012-13 through the 2015-16 season, Golden set three SDSU single-season and career records. In earning honorable mention All-America recognition during the 2014-15 campaign, she set single-season marks with nine wins in equitation on the flat and eight wins in equitation over fences.
Â
In addition, Golden set the Jackrabbit career record with 21 wins in equitation on the flat and ranks second in program history with 18 victories in equitation over fences. She also claimed nine Most Outstanding Performer titles between the two disciplines during her career and earned an impact award from the athletic department her senior year.
