The South Dakota State women's swimming and diving team swept its double dual Saturday afternoon, winning 192-103 against Northern Iowa 155-124 over Nebraska-Omaha Saturday afternoon at the HPER Center Pool.
Morgan McLain and Andrea Budahl led by winning two individual events. McLain won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.70 seconds and the 200 individual medley in 2:07.88. Budahl won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:57.76 and edged out teammate Samantha Fossum by .11 seconds in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:11.42.
Fossum won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:38.56.
Jessica Ferley won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.09.
Ashley Valdez rounded out the individual wins with a victory in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 58.11 seconds.
The 400-yard medley relay team of Ferley, McLain, Valdez and Kaylin Caron won with a time of 3:58.06.
The women's swimming and diving team will be home next against the University of South Dakota on Jan. 21 at 2 p.m.
