ST. CLOUD, Minn. – South Dakota State's Olivia Olesiak swept the diving events, but St. Cloud State won seven of 11 swimming events to down the Jackrabbits, 130-112, in a women's swimming and diving dual Saturday afternoon.
Olesiak, a senior from Wyoming, Minnesota, claimed the 1-meter diving title with a score of 274.80 points, and also won the 3-meter competition with a score of 267.50.
In the swimming events, three different Jackrabbits posted a pair of top-two finishes. Abby Zenner recorded SDSU's first win of the afternoon, turning in a first-place time of 25.12 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle. She later added a runner-up finish in the 100 butterfly, clocking a time of 1 minute, 0.54 seconds.
Kayce Smith followed with a win in the 200 individual medley in 2:12.01, followed by teammate Kristin Erf in 2:15.65. The duo flipflopped spots in the 100 breaststroke, with Erf posting a winning time of 1.07.18 and Smith taking second in 1:07.79.
Rounding out the event winners for the Jackrabbits was Hadlie Overhue, who won the 500 freestyle in 5:17.81.
St. Cloud State received a pair of event victories from Andrea Bryson, who claimed the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
The Jackrabbits continue dual action Friday, hosting the University of South Dakota in a 5 p.m. dual at the Marshall Center Pool.
