The South Dakota State women's swimming and diving opened its season with a 212-88 loss to Nebraska on Friday.
In all, the Jacks won three events on the day.
SDSU opened the day with a win in the 100 breaststroke with
Kristin Erf finishing in 1:04.92.
Alexandra Yaeger won the 200 butterfly by two-tenths of a second with a time of 2:13.33.
Freshman
Daniela Santillan was victorious in her debut as a Jackrabbit finishing the 500 freestyle in 5:13.62.
In the 200 medley relay, South Dakota State took second as
Samantha Prasher, Erf,
Alexandra Spinner and
Ashley Theobald finished with a time of 1:48.59.
The Jacks will return to the pool Oct. 28 as they host South Dakota at the Stanley J. Marshall Pool. Start time is set for 2 p.m.
