The South Dakota State women's swimming and diving team defeated St. Cloud State, 178.5-119.5 on Friday at the Stanley J. Marshall Center.
Overall, the Jacks won a total of 13 events on the day.
The team of
Kristin Erf,
Richelle Bruyckere, Gabby Langerud and
Cassie Hendricks finished first in the 200 freestyle relay in a time of 1:38.02.
In the 200 medley relay,
Samantha Prasher, Erf,
Alexandra Spinner and
Ashley Theobald finished first for the second consecutive time this season in 1:47.14.
Senior
Elizabeth Buchholz placed first in the 1,000 freestyle in a time of 10:49.35, while freshman
Linda Lidstrom came in third in 11:02.25.
Bruyckere and
Julia Bodnaruk finished first and second, respectively, in the 200 freestyle.
Erf came in first in the 100 breaststroke, for the third consecutive time this season, with a time of 1:05.16.
Spinner finished first in the 200 butterfly in 2:10.12, while Theobald won the 50 freestyle in 24.12.
Freshman
Daniela Santillan captured a first place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:15.32, while Buchholz finished close behind in 5:17.01.
In diving,
Rachel Haugen placed first in the 1-meter dive, for the first time this season, with a score of 212.10.
