INDIANAPOLIS –
Ashley Theobald set a school record on the last day of The Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday afternoon at the IU Natatorium.
Freshman Theobald finished runner-up in the 100 IM with a school-record breaking time of 57.99. Senior
Samantha Prasher placed 11th in the event with a time of 59.87.
Senior
Elizabeth Buchholz closed her collegiate career placing fourth in the 1,650 freestyle with a career-best time of 17:16.55. Freshmen
Libby McRae finished ninth (17:46.47) and
Linda Lidstrom came in 14th (18:09.80).
Katya Vakshteyn captured seventh in the 200 backstroke with a career-best time of 2:04.29 and
Cassie Hendricks came in 10th with a time of 2:04.47. Freshman
Daniela Santillan placed 14th (2:07.48).
Richelle Bruyckere finished in eighth place in the 100 freestyle with a career-best time of 51.46 seconds, the second best time in school history.
Kristin Erf continued to shine in the 200 breaststroke claiming third with a time of 2:19.18. Freshman
Mikayla Beckman placed ninth in the event (2:24.64) and
Olivia Bartel took 13th (2:25.75).
In the 200 butterfly, senior
Alexandra Yaeger finished eighth with a time of 2:07.43 and
Alexandra Spinner with 11th (2:08.50).
SDSU's 400 freestyle relay team of Erf,
Julia Bodnaruk, Vakshteyn and Bruyckere came in fourth with a combined time of 3:27.89.
The Jackrabbits finished fifth overall behind Denver, IUPUI, South Dakota and Omaha.
