Bormann Finishes Fifth in Omaha

OMAHA, Nebraska—South Dakota State women's golfer Sydney Bormann finished fifth Saturday at the UNO Invitational hosted by Omaha.

It was the sophomore's best finish to date as she shot a 226 (76-73-77) with seven birdies on the par 72, 6,090-yard ArborLinks Golf Course.

Freshman Cassidy Laidlaw tied for 13th in her first collegiate outing. She shot a 230 (77-76-77). Senior Natcha Srimaneerungroj tied for 19th (79-77-76=232). Rookie Brooke Piearson tied for 51st (85-83-82=250).
