DALLAS, Texas – The No. 8 South Dakota State equestrian team was topped by No. 10 UT-Martin, 10-6 Saturday at the Dallas Equestrian Center.
SDSU falls to 3-5 on the season, while UTM improves to 3-5.Â
In Equitation over Fences, the Jacks and the Skyhawks split the discipline, 2-2. Jacey Chorlton topped Monika Zoromski, 70-69 and Jessica Martinez defeated Randi LaChance, 79-78.

Miranda Sullivan upended Hannah McDonald, 69.5-68 in Reining to take the lead. Mariah Wright also won her point with a 70. Jordan Gates captured the final point of the discipline with a 71.5-70 victory over Maddy Williams.

Claire Garduno scored the only point of the second half with a 72-69 victory over Abbie Hopkins in Equitation on the Flat.

UTM swept Horsemanship, 4-0.
