KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The South Dakota State women's golf team turned in its third top-three finish in a row Tuesday, finishing third at the Kansas City Intercollegiate.
The Jackrabbits, who finished third at the Jackrabbit Invitational April 12-13 and second at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational April 15-16, shot a 607 (302-305). State finished 11 shots back of Summit League member and tournament winner North Dakota State (302-294=596) at the par-72, 6,069-yard Creekmoor Golf Club.
Four Jacks placed in the top 15 for the first time this year.
Teresa Toscano, who turned in her second top-five finish of the season, tied for fourth with a 149 (75-74). The sophomore collected five birdies for the tournament, including on the ninth hole in each round.
Magda Kruger jumped five spots in the final round to tie for seventh, her best outing of the year, with a 152 (77-75).
Cassidy Laidlaw also tied for seventh (75-77).
Sydney Bormann finished 13
th (75-79=154).
Not to be outdone, Natacha Srimaneerungroj had the biggest jump for the Jackrabbits in the final round, moving up eight spots to tie for 40th (85-79=164).
Notes
The Kansas City Intercollegiate is the second consecutive tournament two Jackrabbits finished in the top 10.
