NEBRASKA CITY, Nebraska—For the 12
th time in program history, the South Dakota State women's golf team captured a team title, winning the UNO Invitational Saturday for the second time in the last three years.
The Jackrabbits won by 28 strokes, shooting 892 (298-297-297) on the par-72, 6,195-yard ArborLinks Golf Course.
Junior
Teresa Toscano won her second career individual title, shooting an even par 216 (73-72-71) with an eagle and 10 birdies for the tournament.
Right behind Toscano was classmate
Sydney Bormann in second with a 222 (74-73-75). Freshman
Mia Seeman, in her first collegiate tournament, finished fourth with a 226 (76-75-75).
Sophomore
Cassidy Laidlaw tied for 12
th (77-77-81=233) and rookie
Lani Potter tied for 33nd (82-85-76=243).
Playing as an individual, freshman
Sydney Wirebaugh tied for 49
th (83-83-86=252).
Notes
- The last time the Jackrabbits won a team title was March 17, 2017, winning the Lady Thunderbird Invitational.
- Toscano's first individual title was the 2017 Jackrabbit Invitational March 11, 2017.
