South Dakota State equestrian will host University of Minnesota Crookston Saturday in a scrimmage meet to wrap up the team's fall schedule.

The Jackrabbits (0-4) are coming off a pair of close losses to No. 4 Oklahoma State and UT Martin Oct. 10 and 11. The scrimmage will start at 9 a.m. at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.

SDSU is 13-1 overall against UMC, having won each of the last 12 meetings between the two programs dating back to 2008. Most recently, the Jacks earned an 11-4 victory nearly one year ago on Nov. 3, 2018.

- Senior Jessica Martinez is currently tied for second all-time in career Fences wins at SDSU with 18, only 3 wins away from the record of 21 held by Santana Wright (2010-14).
- Martinez also sits seventh at SDSU in career meets competed in Fences with 36, seven away from the top spot of 42, held by both Wright and Jordan Goodall (2011-15).
- With 15 career wins in Horsemanship, Jordan Gates sits tied for second place all-time with Kelsey Champagne (2009-13), five away from the school record of 20 held by Kelsey Swainston (2013-17).
- Gates has two MOPs in Horsemanship this season, one away from tying the school record for most in a season.
